Park Types

The THPRD encompasses a wonderful variety of parks, including small neighborhood play spaces, linear trail parks, nature preserves, and outstanding sports/recreation complexes. We can have any or all of these types of parks in our area. At least one and possibly two major recreation centers will be planned. It's a definite possibility that there are important natural areas that can be preserved. Linking parks with trails creates great opportunities for exercise and a peaceful getaway from everyday worries. The Cedar Mill area has a rich history, and it may be possible to preserve some of the historic buildings as public-use facilities. Our imagination -- and of course budget considerations -- are the only limit! We invite you to take the Park Tour that kicked off our Committee. |
